Built in Faxing
From MirrorMed
Faxes can come in over a VOIP line and received by Asterisk or some other fax system like Hylafax attached to a fax modem.
Incoming faxes are then placed in an inbox where the staff can review them, or attach them to a patients chart, or forward them to someones attention via the internal message system.
Outbound faxes can be made by choosing what portions of a patients file need to be sent via fax, input the phone number, and away it goes to satisfy the records request, this saves having to print each page individually, then stuff them in the fax machine for sending, then shredding them.
