Talk:Medical Manager History

From MirrorMed

The following was added to Medical Manager talk by somebody with X-Med> Pitch start..

Users of Medical Manager looking for a way out might want to look into linux based solutions.

X-Med, from Boca Raton, Florida runs under most modern flavors of Linux and they can convert Medical Manager data. Due to similarities in the "open item accounting" methods shared by both programs, transactions convert very nicely, along with the patient demographics, appointments, code files, etc.

Achigos, I removed the link to your website, I will be adding it back under a new section of proprietary vendors who support migration from Medical Manager. We have gone around before on the irony of having a proprietary package that runs on a GPL platform. You can find more about the X-Med GPL debate. However at least for the purposes of the talk page, it is enough to simply not that you are not a FOSS solution. Thanks for writing!!
