Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Install Guide

Installing MirrorMed on Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper platform.

1. Install Ubuntu 6.06 Server ISO. You can either install the base server ISO or use the included LAMP stack(includes Apache2, PHP4, MySql).

2. If using the base server (without the preinstalled LAMP stack) the following site provides a great install guide for Ubuntu Dapper (he has also written similar instructions for Breezy): http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_ubuntu_6.06.

3. If using the preinstalled LAMP stack: LAMP should work out of the box. I would recommend installing WebMin for managing the system.

4. If you are using your system as a gateway / router, you will need to enable IPv4 Forwarding. <Instructions for this go here>
